Announcing New Starters and AI Build Tools on Cloud

Our latest update to Medusa Cloud makes it easy to launch your ecommerce store, regardless of your use case.

We've added new starters that cover a wide range of use cases: from configurable products to B2B order portals. You can choose the starter that matches your use case and go live in minutes.

We've also made it easier to build your ecommerce store with your AI agent. Get started with a single prompt, hook up your AI agent to our docs knowledge base, and add skills to make your agent a Medusa expert.

New Ecommerce Starters on Medusa Cloud

We've added six new starters to Medusa Cloud. Each starter is a pre-built Medusa application you can deploy immediately. They cover a wider range of commerce use cases, so you spend less time on setup and more time on what makes your store distinct.

When browsing the starters on Medusa Cloud, you can click on the starter to view its custom features and the storefront framework used. You can also see a live preview of the starter to understand the experience it offers.

1. Configurable product starter: An ecommerce store where customers configure a product's attributes and see the price update accordingly. Useful for any business selling customizable or made-to-order items, such as customizable furniture.
2. Grounded starter: An ecommerce application with a storefront built around a modern, visual-first design. Suited for designers, artists, and brands where aesthetics are central to the customer experience.
3. Industrials B2B starter: A full B2B application with a portal and feature set tailored to industrial businesses such as machinery, equipment, and supplies. Includes B2B flows like bulk add to cart, company management, quotation flow, hidden prices, and more.
4. Quiz-to-product starter: An ecommerce store with a guided quiz that matches customers to the right product based on their preferences and needs. Reduces decision fatigue for stores with large or complex catalogs.
5. Essentials starter: An ecommerce application with a clean, commerce-ready storefront built for fashion brands.
6. Uncut Coffee: One-product commerce storefront where you can purchase your product directly from the front page, modeled after the Uncut Coffee brand. A strong starting point for direct-to-consumer brands that lead with brand identity.

Improved Cloud Onboarding with AI Agents

We've also updated the Medusa Cloud onboarding to make it easier to get started with AI agents like Claude Code:

• Start with an AI prompt: Give your AI agent a prompt, and it will create and deploy your Medusa application for you.
• MCP server: Configure the Medusa docs MCP server to give your agent direct access to our tutorials, concepts, and API references.
• Skills: Load curated skills that give your agent the expertise to build complex features across your backend, admin, and storefront.

These tools are aimed at AI builders and solo merchants who are creating their store with the help of an AI agent. You don't need to read through the documentation or have deep tech expertise. Your agent will have the context and knowledge it needs to build your store with custom features.
