Medusa Community update

With over 2,000 conversations each month, Medusa’s Discord community is the go-to place for exploring and deepening your knowledge of Medusa.

It’s the place where you can get help, connect with other builders, discover job opportunities, and stay up-to-date with the latest Medusa-related announcements.

The Moderator team

Today, the community hosts over 13,000 developers, supported by us on the moderating team, who ensure a respectful and welcoming atmosphere in the Discord group.

The moderators act in a variety of ways:

• Welcoming new members
• Helping with problem-solving
• Maintaining a friendly and safe environment
• Working to continuously improve the community experience

All of this allows the community to continue its growth.

Introducing the Supporter role

Nevertheless, the true driving force of the community lies in its daily active members. To highlight these profiles and thank them, we are introducing a new role: Supporter.

The Supporter role is for members who consistently share their expertise and help create a space for mentoring and collaboration. Our moderators will continuously keep an eye out for the most active and engaged contributors in the Discord community. When they see someone who has shown steady dedication to supporting others over a longer period of time, they’ll nominate them for the Supporter role.

Here are the criteria we use to nominate Supporters:

• Actively helping others in the ⁠Help channel
• Welcoming and engaging with new members
• Helping promote Medusa within and outside the community

As a small token of our appreciation, we will send all new Supporters a small gift from Medusa as a thank you for their contributions to the community.

Our New Supporters

We’re excited to announce the very first members to receive the Supporter role in our community. These individuals have gone above and beyond to help others, share their knowledge, and make Medusa’s Discord a welcoming and collaborative space:

• trevster344 – Actively participates in discussions, offering valuable feedback and lending a hand to fellow community members.
• Gov#006 – Contributes to the Medusa ecosystem by publishing plugins and helping solve technical challenges.
• SteelRazor47 – Welcomes newcomers and consistently provides support in help threads.

You’ll be able to recognize them by their new Supporter role on Discord.
