One marketer, one designer, and Bloom were all it took for Hooch to launch a fully customized B2B webshop in just two weeks, complete with a tailored product configurator and admin extensions built around their workflow.

Hooch primarily serves B2B customers ordering custom printed canned beverages for events and brand activations. Their previous Shopify shop offered only standardized products, while custom orders required manual back-and-forth via email and phone to finalize designs, quantities, and delivery details.

That friction is now gone.

Today, customers can configure everything directly in the shop. From label design and visual expression to quantities and delivery timing, each order can be tailored to its exact needs in a single, seamless flow.

All built with Bloom.

With Shopify, we often needed developers even for small changes to our shop. Bloom one-shots integrations and brings my design to life in seconds, that would have taken days or weeks with a developer.

What they built

Fully redesigned storefront

Timeline: 3-5 days

Hooch created a completely custom storefront that reflects their brand across every touchpoint. Rather than adapting their identity to a pre-built theme, they designed the experience from the ground up.

The layout, product presentation, and overall flow feel cohesive and intentional, far beyond what traditional template tooling typically allows.

We built the storefront in just a few days, learning quickly what worked and what didn’t. With Bloom, it felt like anything was possible, which is probably why we were able to accomplish so much in such a short time.

Custom product configurator with Gemini integration

Time to build: 2-3 days

At the core of the store is a custom product configurator where customers can upload their own can label designs, choose colors, quantities, and delivery dates, and define exactly what they want to order.

To make it more interactive, Hooch integrated image generation with Gemini so customers can preview their custom can before checkout. They simply asked Bloom to create the integration and then implemented it.

Admin extensions built around their workflow

Timeline to build: 1 day

The customization did not stop at the storefront. Hooch extended the Admin to fit how they operate internally.

They built a Trello-style board inside the Admin to track customer requests, manage statuses, and coordinate production.

Integrations

Time to build: 2 hours

Built integrations to Gemini for product configurations, Cookieyes to handle cookie consent for customers, and Logo.devfor obtaining company logos easily as part of the product configuration.

Each integration required no more than 3-5 prompts to get up and running.

Two weeks, no developers

Hooch moved away from a Shopify setup where they felt constrained by platform logic and rigid themes. They wanted flexibility without having to hire and manage a full-time developer, and without compromising on their vision.

The team behind the build was a marketer and a designer with no engineering background. Using Medusa’s foundation through Bloom, they kept the out-of-the-box commerce features they needed while gaining full control to customize both the customer experience and the admin around their own workflows.

If you want to build your own custom flow with Bloom, head over to bloom.medusajs.com and get started.

Bloom handled integrations like our “Collabs” page and the flow in our customizer in a single shot. As a designer, knowing exactly how you want something to look but not knowing how to code it and then watching it come to life in seconds right in front of you, is an incredible feeling!
