When Tradition Meets the Future
For 190 years, Royal Court Jeweller P. Hertz has helped people celebrate life’s most cherished moments. The physical store on Købmagergade stands as a symbol of exceptional craftsmanship, trust, and first-class service. But digitally, P. Hertz wanted to elevate the experience to match what customers encounter in-store.
In close collaboration, we developed a new eCommerce platform that brings the P. Hertz legacy into the future. A solution where the jewellery takes center stage, the shopping experience feels personal and secure, and customers are invited to co-create their own unique pieces.
To support this new chapter, we migrated P. Hertz from Shopify to Medusa with a flexible, open-source commerce engine that allows for full customization and scalability. The move enabled us to build a bespoke eCommerce experience from the ground up, tailored to the brand’s visual identity, customer journey, and operational needs.
From rethinking product architecture and checkout flows to integrating content-rich storytelling and immersive product visuals, every element was carefully designed to reflect the premium quality and heritage of P. Hertz. The new platform gives P. Hertz full control over their digital presence and the tools to grow with confidence all while staying true to the brand’s legacy.
The platform blends aesthetics with functionality and reflects the same craftsmanship and attention to detail found in the store. It’s not just about selling jewellery online, it’s about creating a digital destination where tradition and technology go hand in hand, and where every detail is crafted with respect for the past and an eye on the future.
The result is a tailor-made digital experience that doesn’t just match, but extends the P. Hertz DNA, from boutique to browser.
Thank you Oak Digital for a fantastic collaboration - we are so happy with our new Medusa platform. Huge thanks especially to Jakob Plenge for your commitment and dedicationBerit Hertz
