rb2 is a Dutch Medusa Expert for complex commerce. From B2B platforms and configurable products to flexible B2C/DTC retail and AI-assisted order management.

We design, build and evolve Medusa solutions around the ERP, PIM, WMS, pricing rules and operational workflows our clients already use. From architecture and prototyping to implementation, integrations and long-term development, we combine local ownership with global delivery.

rb2 is especially suited to manufacturers, distributors and retailers with complex product data, customer-specific pricing, configurable products, multiple sales channels or operational workflows that cannot be handled by an off-the-shelf platform.

EKI — configurable B2B commerce for custom technical products

EKI serves more than 9,000 B2B customers in 42 countries and offers more than 20 million possible product configurations. rb2 migrated its complex commerce setup from Magento to Medusa, enabling customer-specific pricing, lead-time information and guided self-service ordering.

Medusa manages the cart, checkout and order flow. rb2 connected it to EKI’s existing product configurator, data-management portal, PIM and Odoo ERP environment. Each system remains responsible for the function it performs best, while EKI gains a flexible commerce platform for continued development.

Toppy — flexible commerce for outdoor retail

The Toppy project uses Medusa as an open and extensible commerce platform for a Dutch retailer in outdoor living, garden and leisure. The architecture is designed to evolve with Toppy’s product range, customer experience and operational requirements.

The platform combines the flexibility of a custom build with the core commerce capabilities needed for a high-volume B2C/DTC retail environment. Its modular setup gives Toppy room to develop its storefront and commerce operations without being constrained by a closed platform.

IPN — AI-assisted order management

INSPIRED Pet Nutrition (IPN) is a UK pet food manufacturer whose seven-person customer service team was spending 15–30 minutes manually processing each incoming order. rb2 built OrderPilot, an AI-assisted order management solution on Medusa, to convert incoming order emails and attachments into structured draft orders.

Operations teams review and approve each draft through a custom Medusa Admin workflow before the order is synchronised with IPN’s ERP systems, including legacy systems without API access. Medusa provides the modular workflow and integration layer, while rb2 developed the custom modules, validation logic and operational experience around IPN’s process. Order processing became 9x faster, with processing costs down 60–80%.
