Medusa Emails

Overview

Medusa Emails is the built-in email service for Medusa Cloud. Send order confirmations, password resets and other transactional emails without a provider account or any setup.

What you get

• Zero configuration. Enabled by default as the provider for the Copy to clipboardemail channel on every Cloud plan.
• Your own sender domain. Add a domain, publish the DNS records and send from your address. Verified domains are on Launch, Scale and Enterprise.
• On-brand templates with React Email, previewed while you develop.
• Email activity in the Cloud dashboard: sent, deliverability, opens, clicks, bounces and complaints, with automatic bounce suppression.
• Your provider, if you prefer. Register another Notification provider such as SendGrid or Resend and it takes over the channel.

Get started

1. Deploy your project on Medusa Cloud. Medusa Emails is on by default if no other Copy to clipboardemail provider is configured.
2. Create a notification on the Copy to clipboardemail channel. See the Medusa Emails docs.
3. Add a sender domain in the Cloud dashboard to reach customers outside your organization. Until then, emails only go to members of your Cloud organization.

Medusa Emails isn't available in local development. Use the Local Notification provider, which logs emails to the console.
