Medusa Cloud is the foundation for most Medusa projects today. It keeps deployments stable, scales automatically to meet demand, and removes the friction of getting your first store into production. For most teams, it's the layer they stop thinking about, which is exactly what good infrastructure should do.
But over the past months, the way people build with Medusa has completely shifted. Most developers are now building with Medusa using LLMs as daily companions, and merchants are starting to operate their stores with AI, leaning on agents to solve manual tasks. People we speak with are more empowered than ever; from junior developers shipping 10x faster to people who’ve never written a line of code spinning up custom Medusa stores with Claude Code as their interface to the platform.
That's why we're shaping Medusa Cloud's roadmap to enable this future. It's no longer enough for Cloud to be a stable, secure place to run your Medusa application, but it needs to actively power the AI workflows that are quickly becoming the default way people build with Medusa. Today we're excited to announce new features for that future.
Medusa Cloud CLI
First, we're introducing the Medusa Cloud CLI that lets you access your cloud logs directly from the terminal. Build logs, runtime logs, deployment context, all available without context-switching into the dashboard.
Importantly, the new Cloud CLI is built to be used within coding harnesses like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and others, to easily provide operational context from Medusa Cloud while you build your store.
We’ll be extending the CLI in the coming weeks with more features for managing deployment flows and your wider Cloud organization, so that you can manage your infrastructure entirely through the Cloud CLI.
Learn how to install the new CLI tool in our guide or ask your agent to follow the instructions here.
A new Cloud Development Agent
Alongside the CLI, we're launching a Cloud Development Agent. This is an infrastructure-focused agent with deep contextual knowledge of your project that can help you debug your application and suggest fixes if you run into issues. Think of it as a teammate that already knows your infrastructure, your deployments, and your environment, and can reason across all of it if something goes wrong.
The Development Agent will be accessible starting next week directly from the Medusa Cloud interface, and we will continue expanding its capabilities.
Authenticated access for the Medusa Docs MCP
Our Docs MCP has quickly become a core part of many Medusa developers’ workflow, with over a quarter of a million answers generated since the start of the year. It provides deep knowledge of our modules and framework, suggests solutions to your unique problems, and guides implementation of complex commerce shapes like marketplaces or B2B flows.
Maintaining and running this service is not free, and to ensure we can sustain continued investment in its capabilities, we’re moving it into the Cloud bundle. Going forward, the MCP requires authentication with a Cloud organization. It's available on the $29/month Development Tier and up.
