v2.10: Draft Orders, Free Shipping Promotions, Custom Logger Support, and More

We released versions 2.10.0 and 2.10.1 earlier this week. Those releases included:

• Open-sourcing Draft Orders (more below)
• Free Shipping Promotions
• Shipping Option Types dashboard management
• Support for custom Loggers
• Shipping Option Tax Rates

Open-Sourcing Draft Orders

The Draft Order plugin is now open source, allowing you to create and edit orders directly from the Admin dashboard. It’s enabled when you upgrade to the latest version of Medusa.

Current and future work

In the past month, we have focused on stabilizing the platform and fixing bugs, a process we will continue alongside triaging external contributions, while also beginning work on the following improvements:

• Specifying usage limit per customer on campaigns/promotions
• Enabling indexation of all core entities, including a public API to manage the index
• Refining the totals summary on the order details page
• Carrying over Promotions from Orders to Order Edits and Exchanges
• Making Admin tables configurable with custom columns and saved views
• Customizable display IDs
